Preschool Special Education Teacher

Compensation: $63K-$78K per year

Job Type: Full Time. Monday - Friday. Day shift.

Our client, a school dedicated to supporting children with disabilities, is seeking a Preschool Special Education Teacher for their Bronx, NY location.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assess students' strengths and challenges to inform instruction.
• Plan and deliver specialized educational services using diverse techniques.
• Track progress, update goals quarterly, and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with team members to support IEP-driven strategies.
• Communicate lesson plans with assistants to ensure alignment.
• Supervise and support teaching assistants.
• Provide parents with resources and strategies.
• Attend meetings, training, and professional development.
• Implement behavior management plans as needed.
• Maintain lesson plans, reports, attendance, and required documentation.
• Follow school policies on health, safety, and confidentiality.
• Serve as a positive role model and treat all students and staff with respect.
• Notify the school of absences and fulfill other assigned duties as needed.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Education
• Students with Disabilities Birth- Grade 2 certification
