Job Summary

American Woodwork is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead and execute millwork projects from contract award through final completion. This role is ideal for an organized, proactive professional who can coordinate cross-functional teams, manage budgets and timelines, and serve as the primary point of contact for clients and subcontractors. As a key member of our team, you’ll help us uphold our high standards of craftsmanship, communication, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and execute detailed project plans
• AutoCAD experience is a plus, but not required
• Coordinate schedules and scope with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal departments
• Track and manage project budgets to meet or exceed financial goals
• Handle change orders, contracts, and related documentation
• Proactively identify and mitigate project risks with both customers and subcontractors
• Attend and lead jobsite meetings as needed
• Provide ongoing updates to executive leadership and project stakeholders
• Build strong, trust-based relationships with clients and project teams

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of project management experience in commercial construction; millwork experience preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
• High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); internet savvy
• Willingness and ability to travel as needed

Physical & Mental Demands

• Regularly required to talk, listen, and interact in both office and site environments
• May occasionally need to lift or move items up to 15 pounds
• The role requires close vision, depth perception, color differentiation, and the ability to focus
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced setting while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism

Work Environment

• This position is based in a professional office setting, with occasional jobsite visits
• Travel to project locations may be required, depending on assignments
