Position Summary:  

Mechanical Designer will be responsible for the mechanical design of heating and air moving  

equipment. Mechanical designs will be created and maintained in 3D CAD software  

(SolidWorks and Creo) This position will work closely with all Engineering staff to create  

industry leading designs.

Position Responsibilities:  

• Design manufacturable products that are aligned with business goals  

• Model designs in 3D CAD software  

• Assist in the construction of prototype heating and air moving products  

• Maintain and modify existing designs using proper Engineering Change Management  

processes  

• Participate in project teams and all activities related to the development of new products  

• Provides technical support to Sales, Marketing and Technical Writing for new and  

existing designs  

Position Qualifications  

Requirements:  

• Associate degree in Design or 4 years of mechanical design experience  

• 3D CAD experience  

• Experience designing parts and assemblies  

• Experienced with Microsoft Office products  

• Ability to analyze and solve technical problems quickly and effectively  

• Effective oral and written communication skills  

• Self-directed, adaptable, flexible, self-motivated, sense of urgency, and good listening  

skills  

• Ability to thrive in a team environment  

Preferred:  

• 1 or more years of design experience  

• Knowledge of HVAC systems  

• Knowledge of SolidWorks and Creo software  

• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques
