The Department of Dermatology at the University of California San Diego (http://dermatology.ucsd.edu) is recruiting for CLINICAL ACADEMIC PEDIATRIC DERMATOLOGISTS to join our successful team in San Diego. The Department of Dermatology is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body. UCSD Dermatology is dedicated to rendering quality patient-centered care, and excellence in education and research.
Our Pediatric Dermatology services are based at Rady Children's Hospital in an office of 21 rooms and 3 procedure rooms dedicated to pediatric dermatology. Our team is comprised of outstanding faculty and staff committed to clinical work, research, education and quality care initiatives.
The successful candidates will be expected to provide the diagnoses and the treatment of a full spectrum of skin disorders with special emphasis on an area of interest to the candidate. The successful candidates will also be
responsible to provide excellent clinical care, quality patient care, mentorship, and teaching to students,residents, and fellows in both clinical and academic medicine settings.
Candidates must have an MD or equivalent, or MD/PhD in health-related fields. Candidates must have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the California Medical Board and must be board-certified or board-eligible by the American Board of Dermatology and
must have completed a Pediatric Dermatology fellowship by the time of the start of the appointment.
