The Role

We are seeking a Food & Beverage Manager to join Living Room. The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for leading service, quality control and consistent F&B experience is executed under the direction of the Managing Director. The F&B Manager owns daily / weekly / monthly delivery on special projects and ensures optimal member, guest and staff experience is executed. As a Food and Beverage Manager you will develop as a leader in the hospitality industry through exceptional leadership, P&L review, forecasting, interviewing / hiring specific areas of the business, inventory, purchasing, vendor relationships and ensuring the business is optimized to its highest standards. staff and finance. 

  • Operational Leadership: Act as an influential leader, working proactively to manage all aspects of operations in alignment with the Food & Beverage Director's vision. This includes overseeing service quality, staffing levels, and the overall member and guest experience to ensure excellence. Additionally, you will work towards achieving profit targets set within budgetary constraints.
  • Member Service Passion: Exhibit a deep passion for member service, demonstrating excellent communication skills when interacting with members, guests, and staff. Uphold and preserve high levels of internal and external customer service.
  • Menu Design and Training: Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to create, design, train, and implement outstanding menus. Manage the procurement of goods and continuously seek opportunities for improvement.
  • Member Needs: Proactively identify Members’ needs and develop action plans that enhance their experience while mitigating potential risks.
  • People & Culture Experience: Engage with and adhere to People & Culture guidelines. Support recruitment efforts and contribute to Diversity and Inclusion initiatives, ensuring the attraction, retention, and training of high-performing individuals with significant potential.
  • Establish Targets and Policies: Set targets, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), schedules, policies, and procedures to drive operational efficiency.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Foster transparency and maintain open channels of communication to enhance team awareness, ownership, and accountability. Emphasize motivation and teamwork within the organization.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with all allergy procedures and maintain a clean, sanitary, healthy, and safe work environment for staff, members, and guests, in accordance with safety regulations.
  • Reporting: Be responsible for providing comprehensive weekly/daily recaps, covering various aspects of the shift, including service standards, allergy procedures, staffing, sales, profit, and proactive solutions to mitigate future risks.

The Ideal Candidate 

  • A passion for elevating the culinary and dining experience to new heights, with a deep appreciation for food and beverage offerings that delight and satisfy our guests' palates.
  • An understanding of the intricacies of food and beverage management, encompassing menu development, inventory control, cost management, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with culinary teams, suppliers, and front-of-house staff, ensuring seamless coordination and service excellence.
  • The ability to strategically plan and execute food and beverage operations, from sourcing and procurement to presentation and service, while consistently meeting financial goals.
  • Experience in managing food and beverage establishments, with a proven track record of achieving profitability, maintaining high standards of quality, and creating exceptional guest experiences.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a similar capacity 
  • Detail oriented, process driven and ability to problem solve in high-volume and demanding fast-paced environments 
  • POS (or alternative), or other Hospitality driven technologies experience 
  • Passionate and influential leader who positively communicates cross-functionally and leads a team to drive efficient and effective best practices through service 
  • Passionate about food and beverages trends and best practices and local health & safety compliance regulations 
  • Ability to manage personnel and meet / exceed financial targets
  • Guest-oriented and service-minded as well as flexible and proactive
