Job Description

The Goddard School on Western is looking for an energetic, professional cook to add to our faculty! Daily Responsibilities:

Follow a pre-made menu using pre-written recipes with efficiency
Maintain knowledge of children's allergies and the ability to accommodate restrictions of children enrolled in school
Prepare and deliver food for 200+ students to multiple classrooms following a daily schedule
Ability to work independently and under the instruction of our Kitchen Manager
Ensuring food items are always in compliance with state and federal regulations
Complying with all applicable laws and regulations relating to food handling
Calculate portion sizes according to state regulations
Maintain the overall cleanliness in the kitchen and applicable appliances
Ensure quality and freshness of ingredients prior to prepping or serving
Maintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment and dishes
Unboxing and organizing food items for future use
Store leftover inventory appropriately according to state and federal guidelines
Execute opening and closing procedures

Required Experience:

Food Service Certification or willingness to complete upon hiring
Work experience in cooking and/or food preparation for multiple individuals
A high school diploma or equivalent
Must be at least 21 years of age
Willing to undergo a background check
