**Anodizing Technician** **Job Description** We are seeking an experienced Anodizing Technician for a first shift position (6am-2:30pm) at our large metal finishing facility located in Costa Mesa/Newport Beach, CA. Pay will be based on experience and will be between $20-$28 an hour in pay with overtime available daily. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive experience in anodizing processes and techniques, contributing to our General Plate department with precision and quality. **Responsibilities** + Collaborate with operators to implement technical improvements and provide ongoing support. + Ensure consistent attendance and promptly communicate any quality issues or departmental problems to management. + Assist with in-process inspections across the company. + Complete job travelers accurately. + Perform processing tasks including Rack, De-Rack, Etch, Chem Film, and Anodizing (Type I, II, III, 1C). + Conduct inspections using tools such as thickness gage, micrometer (ID, OD), bore gage, and caliper. + Adhere to all safety policies and procedures. + Perform receiving inspections, including counting, visual inspections, and verification of previous operations. + Maintain a clean and organized department on a daily basis. + Process parts in accordance with customer requirements, procedures, and work instructions, ensuring high quality and part conformity. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in plating techniques including electrodeposited and electroless plating. + Experience in chemical conversion coating and passivation. + Mechanical cleaning and coating removal expertise. + Ability to read and write in English. + Legible handwriting. + Basic sketch and blueprint reading skills. + Competence in using inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, mechanical gages, x-ray, and thickness gages. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Team player with a positive, can-do attitude. + Excellent attendance record. + Ability to work independently with minimal supervision after training. + Basic understanding of Lean skills and efficiency methods. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
