AHD Manager, Imaging Services + Alameda, CA + Alameda Hospital + AHD Radiology + Full Time - Day + Management + $39.44 - $65.77/Hrly + Req #:42243-31321 + FTE:1 + Posted:June 6, 2025 **Summary** **SUMMARY:** Under general direction, the Manager, Imaging Services oversees the day to day operations of the Imaging Services department. Responsible for the development, interpretation and application of departmental policies and departmental budget. Assists with long range planning and equipment purchase. Performs related duties as required. **DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:** NOTE:The following are the duties performed by employees in this classification. However, employees may perform other related duties at an equivalent level. Not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each individual in the classification. 1. Analyzes sick leave, overtime, and payroll records. 2. Analyzes workload to determine productivity needs; purchase of supplies at suitable cost, makes recommendation with regard to equipment, personnel, discipline, patient care, essential construction; prepares annual review and expense budget for review by the Chief Radiologist and Administration. 3. Assesses monetary needs of Imaging Services Department through short and long term planning directed at cost-containment. 4. Ensures staff is able to utilize age specific policy and procedures in the performance of their job duties. 5. Acts as liaison between hospital administration and radiologists. 6. Performs ARRT duties as needed. 7. (As needed): Is knowledgeable in adjusting scanning techniques, equipment and immobilization techniques to children received as patients through Emergency Room. 8. Ensures that all Imaging Services Department staff expedites consumer service in a courteous, professional, and time-efficient manner by monitoring availability of services, time management studies, employee evaluations, and controlling staffing patterns for a 24-hour per day full services Imaging Services Department. 9. Establishes standards to maintain the efficient operation of a full service Imaging Services Department by compiling statistics, preparing reports, and other documentation. 10. Keeps abreast of trends and developments in the fields of medicine management and technological advancements. 11. Maintains radiologic services in conformance with the Federal and State Regulations as outlined with the Bureau of Standards Handbook, #79 and the California Radiation Control Regulations, #17. 12. Ensures compliance with state and federal rules and regulations on safety through periodic audits, quality assurance programs, and environmental appraisals. 13. Participates in hospital meetings, conferences and represents the Imaging Services Department in relation to Radiology functions and student activity. 14. Maintains effective relationships with other departments and agencies both inside and outside the organization to promote the delivery of quality health care and efficient use of resources. 15. Recruits, interviews, hires, orients, counsels, evaluate necessary personnel, including promotions and demotions of technical and clerical personnel within contractual agreements and organizational policies. 16. Coordinates and conducts department in-service, education and promotes professional growth of staff. 17. Reviews quarterly performance, revisions and updates of annual budget. Analyzes variances and corrective action to be taken for negative variances. **MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:** Education: Bachelor's degree or five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum Experience: Two years in a supervisory capacity of a Radiology/Imaging Services department. Required Licenses/Certifications: Valid certificate as a Radiologic Technologist issued by the State of California Department of Public Health.
